MUSIC+MEDIA
I am a musician, media composer, technologist, and sound artist who works with music and media technologies in both real and virtual performance venues. My work crosses boundaries between fields such as electronic and electroacoustic music, contemporary composition, audio production, field recording, video, dance, and installation and performance art. For a number of years I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to compose for dance and multimedia installations and events. Unfortunately, these projects are temporal and impermanent. Some of my music has been collected into the album ACCOMPANIST, and below you will find documentation of a few events.
Breezy Night is an audiovisual installation which was displayed in an outdoor environment at the CURRENTS NEW MEDIA 2014 festival. It was later reinterpreted as an indoor piece installed in a small room for NO SIGNAL in 2017. Collaboration with Mara Leader. CLICK HERE for more details.

Evaluation: Banal to Transcendant is an interactive, sound / dance / video piece commissioned to be installed in the Axle Contemporary van in the Railyard for the opening weekend of the CURRENTS NEW MEDIA 2014 festival. CLICK HERE for more details.
Illumine was an event created a loose collaboration of artists representing dance, sculpture, photography, moving imagery, and music. It was presented in June 2011 as a show with many acts, each consisting of a small group of artists working together on a piece. Here you see video clips of two pieces I composed and performed music for: Ending at the Beginning, conceived by Mara Leader, and Just What, an improvisation between myself and Ariel Sage Johnson.
